Welcome to Dr. Tran’s page.
During the operating conditions, the structural components (i.e., flange joint, tower shell or nulcear facilities) can fail, leading to the complete failure of the structure. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the performance of these components in practical design.
Thanh-Tuan Tran, Ph.D., is a senior researcher at Energy Innovation Research Center for Wind Turbine Support Structures, Kunsan National University, South Korea. Previously, he served as lecturer at Quy Nhon University (Vietnam) in 12 years.
He received Bachelor and Master degrees in civil engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Vietnam), and Doctorate degree in structural earthquake engineering at Kunsan National University (South Korea).
His research aims to improve the structural resistance and to limit its risk factors against natural hazards.
